Quality Engineer


Working in an international enterprise means growing with exciting projects and multiple opportunities in a great network. We are currently looking for a Quality Engineer Individual participates in the planning and implementation of all quality activities associated with the development of new or changed products/processes, including requirements for customer approval.

Your tasks:

Responsible to ensure all organizational SPC are appropriately utilized. To include specific metrology, frequency and reaction plans. Acquire and review of all drawings, specifications and test methods for new/revised products.

Assist in construction of design and process FMEAs.

Participate in customer quality planning programs.

Develop control plans for all aspects of manufacturer and assembly.

Address concerns relating to tolerancing, dimensions, specifications, reliability, maintainability, etc.

Establish fixture and gage requirements where applicable.

Coordinate internal material testing and dimensional layout requirements.

Provide training in areas such as product and process familiarization, and customer product usage and operation.

Perform or assemble all elements required to obtain customer approval.

Participate in cross-functional team review and corrective action of customer concerns or returned product.

Participate in all functions related to Advanced Quality Planning.

Analyze current operation methods, customer and supplier problems, and recommend changes to eliminate such problems from new designs.

Coordinate all required elements of check fixture design, construction, GR&R's, etc., when applicable.

Participate in review of pilot or prototype parts.

Travel to customer or supplier to address concerns as required.

Assist in resolving problems identified through inspection, testing or customer response.

Resolve New Project Improvement (NPI) issues associated with quality.

Coordinates and assists in conducting and establishing initial process capability.

Participates in the review and analysis of warranty issues for use in development of new and existing programs.


Your profile:

Three to five years experience in quality assurance positions or responsibility to include knowledge of Fundamentals of Probability and Statistics, Statistical Quality Control, Design of Experiments, Quality Planning and Management, Metrology or Inspection Methods and Equipment, Quality Cost Analysis, Reliability, Maintainability, Blueprint reading, Geometric Tolerancing, Quality Information Systems and Automotive Systems and Procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required coupled with PC knowledge. Must have the ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent post-high school coursework with ASQC certification (CQE).
