Regional Commodity Manager

Working in an international enterprise means growing with exciting projects and multiple opportunities in a great network. We are currently looking for a Regional Commodity Manager.

Your tasks:

Responsible for achieving target in Cost, Quality, and Delivery for assigned commodity.

Creating and Executing Commodity Strategies for all assign commodities inline with Local, Regional, and Global Strategies.

Bring cost savings to the operating companies.

Responsible for Request for quote, contract negotiation, raw material tracking, budget preparation, monthly reports, Accurate Spend and Savings Forecasting, Make vs Buy, Assist in Supplier Development. 

Purchasing research for key commodities/products to support the local and regional requirements.

Raw material cost and trend tracking.

Source profiling and database management.

Assist in the Supplier Development process to ensure success internally/externally.


Make vs Buy analysis as required and with the support of regional operating companies.

Prepare, submit and analyze Request for Quote for nominated commodity/ies, including, where appropriate, production, tooling, and equipment.

Review, analyze and negotiate contracts, consistent with the authorized global and regional strategy, within budgetary limitations, scope of authority and collaboratively with regional operating companies.

Your profile:

Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering (or related field).

Minimum FIVE years Purchasing or Engineering in a related industry.

Exposure to Supplier Development principles.

Proven Negotiation skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Experience in cost down activities both internally and external to the business.

Knowledgeable in Automotive quality systems and requirements (i.e. TS16949).

Working knowledge of international trade rules and regulations as required.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Working knowledge to read, analyze and interpret Technical component drawings.

Ability to create professional presentations to all levels of the business internally and externally.

Ability to act and behave strategically and in doing so contribute meaningfully to strategic business discussion and development.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management to suppliers.
