Staff Accountant

40 hours | Marysville

A minimum of three (3) years' recent experience as an accountant with responsibility for accounts, budgeting, cost accounting, credit and collections, reconciliation and finance. Preferably with successful manufacturing companies with annual sales in excess of $50 m

Your tasks:

Knowledge of manual and automated accounting systems and methods, supporting costing and inventory procedures, analyzing cost & inventory data for use in Monthly Financial statements, or maintaining accounting and statistical records by performing said duties.

Conducts special studies to analyze Finance/Inventory/costing actions and prepare recommendations for policy, procedure, control, or action. Inventory Analyst would also be providing failure reports to management for action up to & including discipline of employees for not following procedure.

Oversee breakpoint management activities by working with Materials department to accurately update system records.

Provides interpretation of financial data and inventory transactions, for monthly financial statements.

Participate in customer return process, rework and teardown activity to ensure proper tracking and timely entries in MRP system.

Conduct periodic physical verification of inventory status and locations as listed in MRP system.

Monitor daily scrap, cycle count & usage transactions and verify compliance with process controls. Work with Manufacturing/Material departments to correct any non-conformances. Notify Financial Analyst and Finance Manager of largest monthly impacts/concerns for month end reporting.

Coordinates with Finance and Manufacturing to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations for improvements in systems using data measurements from ERP systems.

Build and improve on reporting systems used in the Financial and Manufacturing departments.

Accustomed to work in Automotive Industry environment, preferably with SAP as an ERP system (+).

Assist in Physical Inventories as they are needed.
