We are currently looking for a SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER (SPAIN BASED) Reporting into the Regional Supplier Development Engineer Manager West Europe. This role will be focused on developing working relationships with Tier ll suppliers and below supplier base, Product Development, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality teams.

Duties include:

Provide technical expertise and leadership to sourcing and development of suppliers with respect to technology, performance, quality, cost, logistics and delivery.

Ensure suppliers are able to meet requirements for performance, quality, cost and delivery of components and requirements for IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and other applicable customer and internal system requirements.

Conduct supplier audits, supplier ratings, risk assessments, cost reduction programs and resolve systemic supplier quality issues.

Drive continuous improvements for components and support continuous improvement efforts of supplier APQP management, communication and manufacturing quality systems development and application.

Monitor and track the progress of supplier’s development, internal conformance to standards and readiness evaluations.

Your profile:

 The successful candidate will have:

Degree and equivalent experience in Quality/Engineering related discipline

APQP, PPAP, 8D, DFMEA, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, GR@R, R@R, Control plan, engineering drawing knowledge

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

Willing to travel

Monitor and track the progress of supplier’s development, internal conformance to standards and readiness evaluations.
