The Motherson Group is one of the 21 largest and fastest growing full system solutions providers to the global automotive industry, serving multiple further industries, such as rolling stock, aerospace, medical, IT, and logistics, with over 135,000 employees across 41 countries worldwide.
Key responsibilities include understanding SAP as a software solution and helping SMR to successfully utilize the software to run all aspects of the business. Other responsibilities will include developing detailed functional specifications, programming specifications, testing plans and deployment strategies for non SAP systems. Finally an SAPBA for SMR will also be assisting the business in the development of procedures and practices to support business non-technical areas of the business. In addition, a SAPBA may also need to support our development teams by assisting with and participating in all software development efforts where appropriate.
A SAP Business Analyst position reports to the Information Technology Manager. This position within the SMR organization involves managing projects of varying complexity by following a project management methodology. These projects can include package selection, custom development, infrastructure development and general projects. The SAPBA will be responsible for seeing that each project becomes a success. This activity includes development of project schedules, coordination of resources, assigning tasks and ensuring all internal project related procedures are followed.
As part of the SMR IT group, the SAP Business Analyst must be a team player and will continually strive to develop as a leader and mentor---as a role model in the corporation and profession, while managing projects within budgetary and scheduling constraints. SMR’s IT group succeeds and fails as a team, not as an individual. This is critical to our success and is at the foundation of our department’s growth and success.
